ThoughtSpot Custom Charts is an umbrella term for the ability to add custom chart in TS and integrate TS capability to your charts. Custom Charts includes adding Custom charts,managing Chart Configurator Customizing Visual Prop settings, Integrating TS ability such as drilldown, Conditional Foramtting, Number Formatting, Action Menu, Legends and many other feature.

Note: That in this course, we will only be adding Custom Chart with the ts-chart-sdk.

Thoughtspot Custom Charts has the following benefits:

  • Provide ability to user to have more charts vizualization then limited number of native chart that are there in TS. User can integrate there chart with the data provided by TS and use TS vizualization tools on there custom chart.

  • Minimal coding is required to create custom chart Thoughtspot using our chart SDK and Developer’s Playground. Developers can generate code that can be deployed on any static web page hosting site and integrate it into applications and then tweaked for dynamic behavior. Concept to creating takes minutes, not days.

  • Empower users to explore their own data and then take action on the results. Not only can users can create chart but also have access to customize the TS vizualization tools they want to enable/disable for there charts.
